Last year, I had the joy of connecting with David Heflin from Broken and Mended, a Christian chronic illness support ministry, through my work with the Diamonds Conference.
David graciously invited me to be a guest on his podcast, In the Seams, after I expressed a desire to share my journey of faith, trauma, and chronic illness with a wider audience. With the help of his producer, Andrés Ruiz, and his editor, John Shields, we recorded an episode this past Thursday that was released this morning. I love how technology can connect us—Andrés joined the podcast studio all the way from Chile, and now you can listen to my conversation with David anywhere with an internet connection!
In our 42-minute episode, I share my story, and we dive into topics such as lament, trauma recovery, and staying connected to God during hard times.
I pray this conversation is a blessing, and I encourage you to check out David’s website, especially this article that explains the Japanese art of Kintsugi and why he chose the name Broken and Mended.
